Mom’s seem to think that their sons (probably daughters too) are exactly the way they were as children. My Mom was always telling my wife how I wanted/liked things using information that was at least a decade or two out of date.
Mom – “He hates mushrooms”Wife – “He eats mushrooms all time. He orders them on Pizza”Mom – “All I know is he hates them”Wife to Me – “Do you hate mushrooms?”Me – “I like mushrooms”Mom – “Since when?”Me – “As long as I can remember. Maybe I didn’t like them when I was in elementary school.”Mom – “Well that’s ridiculous, you always hated mushrooms. You couldn’t like them now.”Me – “Ummm, yes I could. Another example, I hated broccoli as a child. Now I have almost every other day.”Mom – “You don’t eat broccoli…now you are just making things up.”
