Cathy: This swimsuit fit yesterday and today my stomach hangs over the sides. Mom: Eat a muffin top, grow a muffin top! Cathy: Mom! Mom: Oh, for heaven's sake! I did it again! I was thinking one beautiful supportive thought and my mouth went into "auto-annoy." Wait! Let me start over! I've read all the parenting books! I've watched Oprah! I've rehearsed!! Sigh... mothers always know the right thing to say... and we dream that one day we'll say it when our children are within earshot.
Whoops … her mistake. At least Cathy’s mom tried to redo her slip of the tongue, but looks like Cathy’s having none of it. Bummer.
