For a few years in the Naughties, my cell phone was my modem. The only design flaw was the cable blocked the power socket.

“Come onto my web.” said the spider to the fly. I will keep you happy and never make you cry. I always tell the truth. I would never tell a lie.

Well, she does seem a bit jealous… My husband likes his phone (not to the extent of Irving), but I’ve never felt the need too unplug the wi-fi. Cathy looks very nice though, so I think she should go out with some friends or on her own and have a good time without Irving.

If Cathy has to unplug the wi-fi in order to (momentarily) get her husband’s attention away from his phone and onto her (even looking as pretty as she does right now), then she’s got WAY more marital problems than just his obsession over his newest, latest, greatest “tech toy” that really needs to be addressed and dealt with before they get any worse! :-/

Hello and Happy Friday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you all have/had a really nice day today. Continue staying safe and well, everyone! ♥

Fortunately, my husband and I are both sixty-something Luddites. Yes, we have a computer and we take turns on it playing games, reading comics, and keeping up with Facebook friends. While one is on the computer the other is watching TV or reading a book. Smartphones? Not needed!

WiFi down? Unless I am playing games on my iPad I would not even notice although my wife will quickly let me know. If the internet goes down that is a completely different story. My computers are all hardwired so WiFi is no concern but I depend on the net for critical things, like reading Cathy and the comments – oh, and work as my developer works from home as I do.

Ah, another weekend is about to start. Please enjoy it and stay safe.

My wi-fi is not that great so I don’t even use it most of the time. If my husband acted like Irving on a dinner date, it would be the last with him and I would go out with friends instead.

I’m not proud to admit it, but I tend to have similar reactions as Irving in the last panel when my Internet goes down. Not quite to that Whack-A-Doodle extreme, I hope, but still. Ha.
