You could always say, “Sure, and you can take me to dinner at ___________ (insert name of nice restaurant here) in exchange” Then you get dinner and a date out of it, he gets someone to watch his dog, and the dogs get someone to play with. Win-win for all!

This is one reason I’m not still married. My second wife could not answer a question “yes” or “no”, if someone held a gun to her head.
It was because she did not think I had the right to ask questions (or get answers). I swear, if someone came running into the room shouting, “Fire, fire!”, her first response would be to demand they stop shouting at her.
Oh, how I wish I were kidding.
It is a red flag warning of a narcissistic personality. (Yes, she had many other sterling qualities.)
