You mean you, Mr. Manager, approved everyone except the Receptionist to go on vacation at the same time? Will that make it into your Management Performance Review?

I’m retired but desperately need a vacation … from rain! Yes we were zapped with the second predicted severe storm; it hit at 01:00 and we’re back to flash floods, power outages and one house fire caused by lightning hit. It’s still raining and I can still hear thunder in the distance. (We’re fine; never lost power or cable; it’s nap time!)

I suppose the real appeal of a vacation in an exotic location is more about bragging on being there than actually being there.

I agree with vaughnrl2003 – there is no other reason for any of those messages except to brag. I guess I am not a braggart – I never send (or even read) messages while I am on vacation.

Back from our visit to meet our new grandson. It was a fun 3 days there. I forgot just how tiny newborn babies are. Not so fun the two travel days – too many idiot drivers think that passing on hills and corners is a good idea. Fortunately the drivers behind me had the same idea – slow way down to make sure we are not involved in the potential collision. Still, the visit was worth the travel. Looking forward to our next trip. Wait, next trip is a day trip tomorrow for my wife’s pre-op appointment (new hip in August). Glad I don’t mind driving – much.

    Have a terrific Tuesday!

And I guess providing any urgent communication about, y’know … work … would upset the balance of the universe, huh? I guess we see where their priorities are—just like mine often are.

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
