Yep….it sucks to have to buy pants in two sizes and never know which size will fit at any given moment.

I also go by the “how my clothes fit” scale more than numbers on an actual scale. If I’m working out more, the extra muscle will add to the numbers on the scale so I don’t worry about that. And I also know that if I’ve been eating out more, then I will gain weight from that too. So context is important.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Monday! Have a great day, all!

I dated a young woman for a while. She was extremely skinny but fancied tight jeans. She told me that, in the institution where she grew up, they were forbidden to wear jeans so tight that one had to lie down to zip them up. Yikes!

I actually owned a pair of blue jeans when I was horseback riding. That’s the only time and only place I would wear them.

I love cotton pants, preferring natural fibers overall, but I think blue jeans are hideously ugly if they are whole and even uglier when torn and full of holes — how is that a fashion and why would anyone pay extra money for holey clothes?

I first wore blue jeans just over 6 decades ago but only when hiking in the bush. I did wear them to go skating one evening and was laughed at for wearing jeans. It was not too many years after that event that ‘everyone’ was wearing jeans to go anywhere. Hmmm – did I start a trend there?? :) I will now wear jeans downtown but would never wear them to go to work. I wonder if the fashion pendulum will ever swing back to where dress clothes are expected when going to events like concerts and plays.

Blech, Monday again. That means I am another week older than I was last Monday. I wonder if we can change that….Have a marvelous Monday!

    OK—I have to ask.

She gained 4.5 pounds—since when?! A week or more ago wouldn’t be the end of the world, if not great, but a few days ago would stink. Context … Although, we seldom want to gain weight. Eh—when in doubt, go with a big, trusty (◔_◔) … ha.

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
