Strange, or possibly very human, that most languages have a phrase like “It’s pis$ing down!” to describe hard rain. I’ve heard a shrugging fatalistic “Il pisse” in France when the rain came down, and a variant is “Il fait pisser aujourd’hui” - “it’s pis$ing down today!”
“Of course, this is L.A. so wouldn’t that make it acid rain?”
