I’ve heard that switching negative self talk to positive self talk pays off in the long run. Like if you trip don’t berate yourself for being clumsy find something to praise, like you caught yourself before you fell, or make a joke like “wow I’m so graceful!” whether you caught yourself or actually fell. But you can change the ruts your thoughts move in. I don’t know if this is true, or if it’s true for everyone, but I’m trying to do it. Because gosh, I deserve to be respected and loved, or at least liked, by others and also by myself.
