After all, the robbery is happening inside, considering the longshot odds. More than 50 years ago, it was revenue for organized crime. Now, the government has moved in, mostly the numbers racket, casinos for ‘charitable organizations’ for legitimacy…and the “gang who couldn’t shoot straight” Trump crime family.
Decades ago, Las Vegas was among the safest cities in the world. For tourists, I mean. Mobsters owned all the casinos, so anyone who mugged a tourist was essentially stealing from the Mob. When the Mob caught a petty thief, they’d dump their body way out in the desert.
Before someone says anything positive about this, let me point out that organized crime also owned all the other businesses too. Anyone running a restaurant, store, etc. was forced to take on “partner” from the Mob who took all the profits. Refusing brought a beating. Continued refusal ended with the shop owner also having their body dumped in the desert.
Gambling operates with a spirit of thievery on both sides of the table. Both parties are planning to take the resources of the other. The casinos just have the deck stacked in thier favor.

That does sound like a wiser choice.

Unless they were waiting for the ones escorted out. Never could understand how that was legal to ask someone to leave who was making “too much” money!
