I bought a brand new van in the 70’s for hauling band equipment. I only paid $5000 for it, because, it had absolutely no accessories; no air conditioner, no radio, no windows in the back, nothing covering the interior. It just had 2 seats in front, and that was it.
There are a couple of car companies that make you pay more for less, BMW being one of them. Take all of the luxuries off of it and call it a street ready race car. Ford did something similar with the Mustang’s Shelby GT 350 R.
