Phew — no worries here! Never invested in the stock market, live sufficiently inland to hopefully not be affected by rising ocean levels, are a continent away from Idaho, AND we live a block away from downtown and the nearest Dunkin’ Donuts. Don’t worry, be happy!
Good morning, Lonewolf, puppybreath, Dry, cleokaya, sugie, Grog, x_Tech and all my fellow CDers!
hugs to Tina (hang in there, sugie!), Pandora and the 2 Lil Bits
@ puppybreath ~~Thanks for remembering my sweet Quincy Jack, puppybreath! It still doesn’t seem possible that all my “puppies” are gone now…Quincy Jack, his brother Andrew Ransom, and sisters Stella Mae (StelBel) and Josephine Lee. And their mom, LuLu Belle. What a great crew they all were. Josie and StelBel would sing their hearts out, Quincy loved to play ‘keep-away’ with his toys, Andy would smile — on command! and Lulu was just the greatest little mom ever. She was only 15 lbs. and her kids were all more than double her size, but she was the boss! As sad as it is to think of them having all passed away, I’m so glad I kept them all and treasure the memories. Now, I have a new little ray of sunshine, Maxwell Milton! He’s a 12-lb. rescue from a Tennessee tornado-damaged area and I think he’s an Australian terrier, about 9 mos. old. What a lot of energy! He’s helped us with our sadness, to refocus toward the future. And, chances are we’ll probably outlive him, too, but the joy he (and all the animals we’ve had over the years) brings into our lives far outweighs the sadness of eventually parting with him. I’m sure you, puppybreath and all of our friends here know exactly what I mean! Again, thanks for thinking of us. I always keep you and all my friends here in my thoughts and in my heart.
