Abby: Hi, Coach. Is Edith here? Tippit: She sure is, Abby. Come on in. Abby: Hey, Edith, we're playing a pick-up soccer match with the boys. Come be our goalkeeper. Edith: Lemme see-- I'm in air conditioning, I'm reading Emily Dickinson, no soccer ball is heading toward my nose at a high rate of speed-- sorry, I'm not moving. Abby: Aw, c'mon, Edith. The summer's going to be over before you know it and you won't have had any fun. Edith: Reading's fun. I have my summer reading to complete. Abby: That whole bookcase? You plan to read all those books this summer? Edith: Those are the books I've read so far this summer. But there's plenty of space available. Tippit: Who wants one of my famous head cheese and pickle sandwiches for lunch?! Edith: Dad, I'm going to play soccer with Abby. We'll grab something to eat after the game. Come on, Abby! Abby: Thanks, Coach. Tippit: Glad to help. She needs to get outside more.
