Abby: Dad, did you get the tickets for the world cup final yet? Remember we talked about it when they moved the women's world cup to the United States? Dad: Oh, sweetie-- I forgot. They're probably sold out now. Mom: Abby, your Dad will make some phone calls tomorrow at work and see if he can pull some strings. Dad: Uh, I don't know anybody. Mom: Network... everybody knows somebody, who knows somebody. It's like that game, six degrees of Kevin Bacon, where you find a connection from Kevin Bacon to another actor through their movie co-stars. This is going to be six degrees of world cup finals tickets. A connection between you and those tickets through your friends of friends of friends. Mom: So, how did it go? Dad: Good news and bad news-- the bad news is, after talking to everyone I know and their connections, and their connections' connections, I couldn't find any tickets. Sorry, Abby. Mom: And the good news? Dad: I got to talk to Kevin Bacon!
