Why isn’t the magnify feature enabled on this strip? It would make reading the text easier.

This is actually a very old cartoon, so maybe they don’t have a larger size.

Before they changed the format of the comic page, a mechanism existed to show a larger version of each comic. If the comic didn’t have a larger version, it seemed to show a larger, if fuzzier, version of that comic. Being able to “zoom” in on the strip helps make it easier to see. If they had done it before, why wasn’t it done when the format change was made?

I think the old way made all of them fuzzy. Now they only make them larger if they have a larger size. With old strips, they often don’t.
