Abby: I have a friend who lives on the gulf coast. Her soccer season was canceled because of the hurricanes. Peri: That's terrible. Edith: Let's get a little perspective, girls. A canceled soccer season is unfortunate, but people's homes were destroyed, families were seperated. Jobs were lost. Those storms affected all kinds of people. Say you're a cartoonist in Texas, and Hurricane Rita is heading toward you - your deadlines aren't going to go away just because you have to pack your family up and move to a safer place. Abby: A cartoonist? Edith: You would have to rush your work...leave out background drawings...write something quick so you can get out of town! A category 4 hurricane is coming! Peri: You are so weird.
