Coach Nordling: Ohhh.. Every muscle in my body is sore. Mrs. Nordling: Well, sweetheart if you're going to start off your fitness program with a mile-long jog/run you need to stretch out a lot first. Coach Nordling: I did stretch. I'm sore from the stretching.
Start off by WALKING a mile. When you can do that without huffing and puffing, add a little distance. If you can walk three miles with enough breath to carry out a normal conversation (maybe walk with your wife?) then you can try adding a little gentle jogging.
