Keep him around too long…there won’t be ANY corn left to measure!
But they’ll have some excellent fertilizer.

I thought they just kept him around so that when they were sitting around the house at night, bored, they could bring him in and talk about him.

When it is as high as his eye, its harvest time, then that weeping willow will be laughing!
It only has to be knee-high by the Fourth of July.
Corn has been bred to be shorter since mid-20th century because it is now picked by machines. Tall corn wastes its growing energy on height rather than ears.
