It must be “irresponsible” to say you are locked up.

As for Bleeb, he doesn’t have to worry about being locked up, he can escape easily.

The local jail doesn’t call them inmates anymore, but residents. Supposedly it’s to reduce stigma, but I doubt that’s going to help.

In NY state the word ‘inmate’ can no longer be used. It has to be ‘incarcerated individual’, what numbskulls….

Like South Australians… Orwellian is now a ‘positive’ term, or so the propaganda keeps insisting.

    Oh boy! ….. “Woke” prison!

Let me take a stab at it! (No pun intended, just a happy accident)

    Comfortably Confined

    Inconveniently Immured

    Properly Put Away

    Sentiently Serving

    Independently Interred

    Imminently Indisposed

    Freedom Fracted

Nah! I’m liking the old standards better.

And you’re not inmates anymore. You’re “penal house guests”

Speaking of building up our immunity. I wonder if the enforced isolation of the pandemic has made some of us less affected by threat of jail? I hope not, but still, I wonder.

1984 has arrived. We now have “Birthing Persons” so as to not offend the men who can have babies. Wait, what?

Here it’s “incarcerated” in a “correctional facility.” The “Department of Correction & Rehabilitation” is a public utility, much like sewage, garbage & other Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations.

When I was helping people with their resumes, it was always a must that they account for their time spent working. If there was a gap, the employer would question it. For people who were in prison, someone suggested that they give the dates and then say “Worked for the state.” I guess, technically, that’s true if they made license plates or sewed uniforms, etc. That might have gotten someone in for an interview, but then they’d have to explain it.
