I remember having the “Unlimited Arcologies” cheat code, which was great for maxing the population. My bro loaned me SimCity 4, I’m going o have to check it out sometime, hope it works on Windows 7.
When The Sims (or Sims2 or Sims3) is loading, little statements float across the bottom of the screen. One of them is always a play on “reticulating splines.”
Simmers look forward to it and give a little chuckle, as it’s usually rewritten to fit each version or expansion.
It really means nothing other than making the lines more linear.

Wow, reticulating splines, 20 odd years later and I still don’t really know what that means, classic.

I always thought reticulated splines were a casus belli for war - thanks for confirming my suspicions.

But if you don’t know what it means, how can you know if you’re doing it?

just have a sim troop surge and promise to be out by 2011 —that’s always good strategy…
and, if it doesn’t work…just push ‘reset’ before you save it, and it will be as if it never happened….
if only we could REALLY do that!
