Winter Solstice? What do I do, dance naked in the snow?
Hmmm. Are they so far north that the sun is up for all of, say, 10 seconds?! I sort of figured they were in Minnesota or someplace like that.
But that doesn’t make sense either. Tortoises in Minnesota?
I’m so confused.
that was short.
Note to Joe. the solstice is a momentary event, it occurs tomorrow at 12:47pm (est).
Beautiful artwork! Now the days will start getting longer, well, relatively speaking!
It’s the Sunday comic.
I enjoy your posts, Joe.
I’m with Jazzlily, but the pipes would freeze if I hibernated.
(I’ll leave it to someone else to go to enature.com to see if there are any tortoises in Minnesota.)
Happy Solstice, everyone!
Reminder, tomorrow is the first day of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. The Southern Summer Solstice also occurs at 12.47 EST (17:47 UT). Now, isn’t that amazing.
You can’t win Joe. You tried though!
Dog looks surprised at how short the day was. Tortoise just is bored with it all.
Love the art as always. Must be up around Baffin Island.
Beautiful!
