mmyea…but WHAT DOES IT MEAN…I mean in ingles??…is it an expletive..deleted or otherwise …or an expression of surprise??? My Rusian is left wanting I’m afraid.
Living in NYC for 25 years gives me enough time to look at multilingual subway ads so I’ve pretty much deciphered the Russian alphabet. I think it’s funny that “Danke Schoen” is followed by the English word “Darling” (complete with a Russian pronunciation including the “hard G”).
I can suspend disbelief about Wayne Newton; it’s much more fun to do that than to actually listen to him (which I can’t stand - he’s as awful as the stupid song, and both are perfect for showcasing in snow globes). If the Beatles could record “Sie liebt dich (ja, ja, ja)” in German - which they did - then anything could happen.
I like Ludmilla - she’s a multi-layered personality. Triggering her sentimentality is like “touching a nerve” … and Corey depicts that perfectly! This strip feels like a Christmas present to me.

I really admire this one, Cory! “…a snowglobe-sung by Wayne - IN Russian!” BRILLIANT! BUT … who but Ludmilla would want it? :-]
