    Wow, today’s strips are quite depressing to say the least… Non Sequitur is about mob death, BC is about stealing from wildlife and now this… geez… :s

    Yeah, BC was a tat mean…the animals had to be sitting there when he cut down the tree.

    Do all trees want to be Mother Nature’s helper…I think so.

    Thought the tree was for Baldar, not positive w/o googling. Or was that just the mistletoe?

    Mistletoe’s is about the Norse god of the summer sun Baldar.

    The evil god Loki (brother of Thor), fashioned a poisoned dart from mistletoe. He shot the mistletoe missile to kill Baldar. His death brought winter and his mother Frigga lamentation.

    Frigga’s tears over her son changed the red mistletoe berries white and raised Baldar from the dead. From her gratitude she blessed with a kiss everyone who walked beneath mistletoe, declaring that the mistletoe must forever after bring love rather that death into the world.
