Mr. Thom Thom: your offensive strip has met it’s polar opposite, yet again, over at Non-Sequitur, I tried to voice our philosophy over there, but I doubt it will help.

johnnydoc5- Wiley, I think, is making fun of all the offending offenses. And I think he’s totally, right - sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar. Here, of course, it would be an exploding phallic symbol or something equally offensive.

Your comments at Non Sequitur were right on. Here, we offend for the sheer pleasure of it. And besides, the opposing position is defense and it’s so hard to take defense.

Why hasn’t anybody taken offense to my depiction of a Native American with such a crappy attitude? Or the fact that the smoke signals are misspelled? I’m offended no one even cares!!

The reference “cow chips” and “buffalo chips” was about HOW the smoke was being made. I chose buffalo chips because it was more authentic and because if someone is trying to “buffalo” you, it’s nearly the same as “talking bull.”

So I take it you took offense. If so, thank you! It’s about time somebody did!

okay i have not seen bad language. if it is on this strip this sure as heck is not the only one that has it. go over to a political comic and find you some bad lang. just get over it. we are having fun. and in doing so if we tick off someome then they need to remember it is just a comic strip.

Sorry, Thom, I prefer cheddar and sour cream chips myself. One of the few salty snacks that I like. Actually, I like a good defense, that’s why I am a Ravens fan, and that was why I was defending the offenders, they need it too. Thom, I believe all negative comments about this panel are directed to the commenters and not towards you. Obviously some people are more sensitive to certain types of humor. As I see it, no negative comments are meant to be pertaining to you or the comic. But, what would I know, I am always offensive. Oh wait, I think my offensiveness pertains to body odor. Never mind.
