Aw, man! The first panel looks just like Michael! At first I thought the strip was visiting the present!

nothing wrong with yesterday’s wine, if the wine was good to start with and the cork was put back in (even better a vacuuming device, though).

If it wasn’t for the hair in the first panel, I’d have thought that was Elly’s keister - ain’t no wonder they’re related! xD

We are at MIL’s, did all the Christmas shopping (for 40 people), most of it with the 3 kids under 5, and DH wanted something in the evenings so I gave him something for Christmas

i try very hard not to read jad comments - i try very hard to just skip over them.

How Arrogant big bro is being, he deserved the kick. At least since they never wear shoes indoors in this strip, it’s a gag, not a vicious attack.

Visiting is time to knock off the wine snob lecture. I would have happily had a glass of Sis’s vino, or had the java. Drinking wine is like a box of chocolates.

Leave Joe alone. He is sometimes very enlightening and definitely NOT always negative. If you don’t like his comments, skip them as pearlandpeach does.

Phil wants to get a kick? I think he has minor problem and wants to forget what he was done with Connie yesterday or a couple day ago. Elly, good! Give Phil a huge kick!

Joe, I can’t remember if Phil had drinking issues in Johnston’s first go-round, but then, this is not a carbon copy. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.

My husband and I do very little drinking but our cabinet is stocked with a little bit of just about anything anyone could want while they’re visiting us … but then, we don’t have 2 small children in the house like Elly does either!!!!!

I think Phil LIKED the kick in the…. Look at the realization on his face. HAHAHA!

Maybe if Elly had a drink now and then, the stick could slowly work its way out of her enormous, sanctimonious, cushion.

My parents never really drank, and they had a pretty well stocked bar for company. We never touched it. Why would little kids touch booze, especially if you teach them not to, and why shouldn’t they have some liquor in the house just because they have kids?

And lastly, that opened bottle of wine will still do the job if it was covered, Phil. I bet you’ll never be that picky again. Now go and try to deal with that sister and her non discriminating, feminist, hussy neighbor without a buzz!

I always read everyone’s comments. Mr Doty sometimes makes good ones… he also makes ones that are irritating or insulting to other people.

I hate when he insists on explaining even the simplest of comics (such as Momma) without prompting, as if nobody but him could understand it. That’s so annoying.

If Phil wants a kick, he should ask Elly to make some of Doctor Toon’s nuclear coffee

It says it’s the open bottle of wine from Christmas dinner, not the cooking sherry.

I realize this strip is all re-runs, but some of us are reading it for the first time, so I would appreciate it if people stop posting about stuff that hasn’t happened yet. I’m not speaking of anyone or any day in particular, just in general.

Ok…ok…JAD’s comments havent all been negative. A little lengthy and off topic and sometimes very informing…He adds flavor to the comments. I TIA with JanCin.

On a side note, wines designated as “cooking wine” have salt added to them to avoid alcohol taxes. They are unfit for human consumption.

JAD, always a riot, and I appreciate reading his comments as well as others, but he doesn’t always post negative. Some of them are very informative!!!
