May I say that Sue does not speak for us. I love reading books. John and I have each written a few, and he’s actually had his published so you can read them too. Oh, yeah, I self published one of mine. Sue wouldn’t understand. They’re not about her.
LOL!! This is exactly how kids interpret things! WARNING, gross story alert! Last spring, my kids were outside playing and some other kids came over, so I told my kids that they were not allowed inside because it was such a nice day, they had been inside all winter, my husband takes naps sometimes because he works so late, and I knew if they all went inside, they’d never come back out. Anyway, I guess my kids spread the word because when one kid had to go to the bathroom, she pooped in my yard (she was 9 years old). Of course, her excuse was “we weren’t allowed inside!”. Jeez, do I have to spell out everything??
You don’t know this kid, and I don’t need to study child development to have common sense. Most every person that I know would have sense not to poop in someone’s yard. When I grew up, my parents told us to go play outside on nice days and to stay out. No one that I know of has ever gone to the bathroom in someone’s yard – we were all raised better than that. Anyone who is properly potty-trained, and a 9 year old should be, would know where to go to the bathroom.Good try though. You were probably the parent who consulted Dr. Spock or some textbook psychologist for every parental decision, and blamed your kid’s bad behavior on everyone else. p.s. At least the girl’s mother was embarrassed when she found out, apologized and cleaned it up. She knew that her child should have known better.

I love to read, but this is a very historic moment! For once, Sue is jealous of Maria!

That’s as far as it goes for now. But there will always be opportunities for that kind of conference. If Maria is prone to listen…
