Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for September 15, 2012

Transcript:
Phoebe: I don't even know a lot of these kids. I wish someone from last year's class would show up... Naturally I mean except- Dakota: Oh. It's you. Phoebe: I wasn't done wishing! Dakota: You're still weird.
If you’ve seen the anime “Clannad”, this is almost reminding me of Tomoya wishing to be locked in the school’s gym storage room with Nagisa. But since she was sick, Tomoya thought of Kyou instead. Lo and behold, it happened! The only thing was they were both in a panic.
Be carefull what you wish for, especially when a wish fullfilling unicorn is involved. It is part of the magic that wishes are never quite fullfilled in the way that you expect.
Depends if Marigold develops a sort of intelligence. Otherwise it is a comic – people don´t have to age. Also seriously placing kids in different classes each year?
Calvin, Nancy, Dennis and Charlie Brown never age but Luann and a couple of others have. That part will be interesting to see, although I like the strip the way it is, It’s one of my favorites. Besides, could she make it to high school without turning into Jackie Paper?
I am looking forward to seeing how the whole Dakota-Phoebe thing goes.
@ Iron Ed, re conversation the other day, I had joined the forum on that site for a while (maybe when it was new?) because I am interested in things Western but they asked me to leave because the forum was for members only.
Actually; I think Dakota has a nice overall style. Nice contrast to Phoebe while still fitting the comic’s style. It’s also stylish, but not too stylish for her to associate with Phoebe if Dana decides to go that way.
Alexander and Cookie Bumstead were teenagers when they stopped aging, but Skeezix Wallet (aka Grand Duke Alistair of Glovania) is the record holder, being already a great-grandfather.
I remember thinking that back when I was in school (back when I was in school?) Man, my High School graduation was only a year and a half ago. I would always be nervous at the end of each year since 4th grade cuz’ I was afraid my friends might not have the same classes as me.

Well Phoebe, you got your huge wish for Marigold to be your best friend granted.
There must be a quota on how many good wishes you get granted.

I guess Dakota’s happiness wore out.

That was the advantage to going to a rural school with only one class per grade — I had all the same classmates year after year after year…

Dakota’s probably thinking the same thing you are, Phoebe.

Continuing with the theme of yesterday’s strip, my main man is Richard Thompson.

Nice hair, Dakota! Who’s your stylist? :-)
