I love Rita and her logic. I worked as a child for family not in the same capacity mind you, but it did indeed teach me about work and the value of earning your keep.

The ideal all along has been to get the employers to treat their workers fairly, and pay them a living wage. The unions initially made that happen, but some gave in to the same kind of greed they were supposed to be fighting against. And now we see laws that protect the worker struck down, so that the haves can once more run wild and unchecked, while the have-nots increase in number. Rita is easily seduced by the philosophy that the ends justify the means.

Unions are a good thing to an extent there is alot of corruption in modern unions as well as corporations, I worked at a job for 11 years when I was laid off not a single Union rep would even go to the office with me to argue my case.

Its kind of amazing sometimes how a simple joke tends to turn into a round table disscussion on MSNBC or CNN.
