Some of us read the comic to see how Flo handles the ‘big baby’. She will never divorce him, though. If Andy is your hero – what does that say about you? I like Susan and her comments so I have to defend her.
Hi Everyone. Staying off GoComics for a few days as I am not very well. I know that sounds pathetic but I am just washed out and just plain ‘not myself’ basically. I just think I better take it easy.
After reading some of these comments on GoComics, it seems some people write their comments as if it’s their life their looking at, rather then a Cartoon….
I suppose the marriage counselor could have called Andy “Shorty” (if he wanted to have a short happy life……..) Does anybody know the size of the Andy statue?
I wonder if there are any ceramic reproductions of the statue? I’d LOVE to have one out in my garden (for one thing, the garden gnomes have needed a leader for awhile…….)
Eldo No Sir, I have never been to England. I saw a photo Number Six posted one time and then I did some research on THAT particular statue. So your picture is the 5 foot one from the bar?
@beviekI’m not the beautiful sweet young lady we all adore like Number Three is, but I could use a little chicken soup after recent events, lol.
I’ve always loved Andy as THE best of all best bad examples. Way back in college I remember giving a speech in a speech class where I said (joking about myself): “You have to remember that this is what can happen when Andy Capp is your role model”. I have no idea what the speech was about; the only thing I remember is that one line!
I have always read Andy since I was old enough to read. In fact, I have some of the first books, all paperbacks, stored away in my attic with all my classic comic collections. If it’s stored away in my attic, does that mean I am banned from here? I have just recently started reading all the comments here, LORD KNOWS I REALLY HAVE NO TIME TO DO THIS! But I do it anyway! LOL!
Funny thing here, I never saw anything mean about the way Andy treated Flo, or how she responded, because they remind me of the “The Honeymooners” with Jackie Gleason and Audrey Meadows. Some people just live that way, but when push comes to shove, they absolutely have “each others back”.

Uh… at least Andy didn’t call the counselor “Baldy.”

Is there more than one statue? That doesn’t look like the one I saw and it doesn’t look 5’ 7".
Saw your last comment Linda Dean. Also your post about MS. Take care of yourself, you hear?
You too Number Three!

Maybe if that statue would stand up straight, it would measure up to the full five foot seven. ;-)
