Since my daughter got one of these dogs I have read a lot of places that were pro, con and neutral about the breed and the three things that stand out are that the males especially should be neutered and the owners should take an obedience/training course by a professional and that powerful breeds need a LOT of exercise. Early socializing is also brought up frequently.
Once upon a time they were a great family breed. Unscrupulous breeders focused on the aggressive trait and ruined the breed. You can still get a good one but many can change unexpectedly. The bloodlines can be polluted.People breed animals for certain traits, in the case of Pits that trait is violent and unpredictable. The good ones are really good, but it is a gamble.
It is very rare that a terrier will bite the hand that feeds him. They are very protective, energetic and loving to a fault. They don’t always play well with other animals. They are big and strong and may hurt someone while playing, but it is not intentional. They make great babysitters.
I still don’t watch the Eagles play even if they are playing my local teams. Can’t forget Michael Vick’s cruelty. Now if a bounty was taken out on him…….
So you believe that once someone has committed an offense of some kind we should just do away with them. Have you ever done something that you regret? Perhaps you should check yourself before you run your hole.
can be, but never leave with small children or outside off a lease or allow to run with a pack of other dogs. Same rules I apply to my 110# German Shepard.

I suspect some dogs would refer you back to the first panel.

Pitbulls will be as good as they are treated. Love, good food and exercise plus the occasional firmness will make a happy dog
