Good morning all..

There’s going to be fireworks with Junior home alone!

IT’S VOTING DAY!!Time for everyone to sound off on who has the best Moon Maid avatar! We got a bunch of new entries yesterday, so there are tons to choose from.Please review the last 2-3 days of comments, make your choices, and then post your votes here.Three categories: 1) Sexiest; 2) Most creative; 3) Best overallAnd if you feel like it, tell us why you voted as you did. Seems to obvious to me. Certainly more obvious than which avatar is the best.

Just to find a slightly different ‘take"—I don’t think Mammy (Gravel Gertie) needs taking care of as much as does Sparkle! Gravel Gertie may end up saving her daughter with her old long-gun from some intruder. (We can’t be sure it’s Junior who will have an adventure when the two are apart!)

Sounds like tomorrow’s strip may feature a big meeting.

Choosing who’s avatar is best is tough… so I have a suggestion…. why not have an OVERALL TIE! after all, they ALL feature our lovely Moon Maid.. so how can ANYONE lose?!? :) as for the strip, you can tell in juniors eyes and his reply thathe’s not at all comfortable with sparkle going away for a little while… he needs her NOW more than ever. andi dont think junior and honeymoon will run into moon maid this early in the story… tho junior DOES have some business to attend to at the cemetary….maybe my early prediction can STILL come true… junior runs into moon maid at the cemetary?

It’s sweet the way Jr. and Sparkle clasp hands. Unfortunately, the Go Comics colorist gave Jr. a painted finger nail!

I found one way to get a better look at the avatars. Click on the av and it will take you to the home page of the gocomics member. The avatar is about twice as large there. Zooming in with the browser helps too. I know, obvious stuff, but in case it helps!

The burning question here is whether everyone’s favorite lunar vandal will visit Sunny Dell Acres, or Junior’s house?!Total speculation, but I think the latter.Either way, sparks will fly!!

Sparkle is the love of his life, and we all know that Junior is a man of honor and will do the right thing, no matter what. Just like Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt in “Cast Away”. I really like this strip, but less than 40 posts on Saturday noon EST. a little odd.

This is going to get rough. Sparkle is not really going to see Mom. Vera Alldid, her first husband, has continued his cartooning career and is now a multi-millionaire, and he is wanting her back. This, of course, will clear the way for Junior to get back with Moon Maid.

Do BO and Gertie still have all those fancy kitchen appliances that Vera gave them when he married Sparkle?

Moon Maid rocks. It is her destiny to be with Junior. That is all.

I don’t think sparks will fly the way Willy007 does – I think Moon Maid is furious that Junior and the rest of the family didn’t come looking for her, and sparks will fly all right!She’ll be throwing out her own brand of lightning – at Junior!

This is one of those necessary exposition days, and we aren’t as excited about seeing Junior and Sparkle have a quiet conversation in bed as we were a week ago at this time when an alien hottie in thigh high boots was about to commit vandalism with a sledgehammer. All that said, today’s strip moves the the story along nicely and sets us up for some predictable fireworks down the road. So. very good storytelling by Mike Curtis. And the art by Joe Staton is once again terrific. So much emotion in the faces. The look of tenderness and concern in Sparkle. The anxiety and distractedness in Junior. Enjoy today’s strip, everyone, and never take for granted the visual treats we receive each day from Mr. Staton. Just wanted to point these things out lest we get hung up on fingernail polish and lose sight of Team Tracy’s truly fantastic work. Even on relatively quiet days, there is much to be excited about.
