Back in ’79 or ’80 the first shuttle, the Enterprise, flew over my house. It was amazing to see. I found out later that Deke Slayton flew the chase plane. I remember when he did a “Bicentennial Minute” from space during the Apollo-Soyeuz mission.
..I never got to see the space shuttle except for as a light in space…
