How can Ann be this dumb? All she had to say at the beginning was “sorry my mistake.” However I have in fact seen managers or employees get ridiculous – rather than fess up to a mistake (almost always the easiest way out).

I think a phone call to HQ is in order!

Ann has no up-selling skills. Ox taking his business to BB will effect WH bottom line, so the end of this story line is nearing.

It’s not a lack of upselling skills, She thinks he’s dumb and can be easily had.

Apparently Ann likes being fired

All it takes to get her fired is for Ox to report these words: “Go to Burger Barn, Ox”. Wonder if TJ will be the new manager?

This is when Ox and/or TJ gives corporate a call about Ann.

Ann, don’t mess with Ox when it comes to food prices. Judging by how much he says he eats, he probably has every food item with tax included completely memorised.

This character and storyline are really getting tedious….

These characters are so 2D and cliche . . .

I am anxiously waiting for Ann to get shot in a holdup. It won’t make her any more decent but I’d like to see it anyhow. Everyone else seems to have some decency at the very least.

If she figures in the $1.50 for the cookie, the tax rate is 14.3%.I’m not aware of anyplace in the states that has that high of a rate. Close, but not 14.3%.

I’m actually getting rather tired of Ann Eiffel and the whole Weenie World thing.

Personally I think it’s great that he is a big sized guy and is NOT being portrayed as an idiot, or perpetually cheerful. I can’t stand it when people thing some large should be jolly. Ox is a character who understands being picked on yet he still defends others. He’s a good guy. However Ann Eiffel isn’t a good anything. She is a very poor manager. I would love for something to happen to her to knock her off the pedestal she thinks she is on. Hurray for Ox not giving in and calling Ann on her s__t.

As an MBA?[]Eiffel is toast. []If the security cameras pick up audio, there’s record of her attempting to swindle a customer. Ox doesn’t even need the receipt showing the bad order. (In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if the system somehow logged the order anyway). []One of my employees attempting to swindle a regular customer? I can always find a new manager; I can’t always find a regular customer.[]The only way for her to get rid of this evidence would be to purge the system, which is tampering with the equipment and grounds for dismissal anyway.[]And even if the cameras don’t pick up audio, there should still be footage of the exchange… complete with Anne offering up the cookies. []All Ox has to do is file a complaint with corporate and/or the local Better Business Bureau. []And if the cookies were burnt, then say “hello” to the health inspector. []All together? Any corporate type worth their salt would gladly offer Anne up as a sacrificial lamb rather than deal with the fines and bad publicity. []Maybe next week’s strips will be about TJ easing into his new job as manager while Anne rediscovers the joys of unemployment.

I’m hoping Ox’s friendship with Tiff and his staredown on Leslie are part of this story. That will be an interesting mix.

Amazing that Ann stays in a management capacity, given her obvious lack of people skills.

I suspect that Tiffany will be showing up soon – livid that Ann is trying to take advantage of Ox – so begins a new storyline :)

Rubbish. That’s just an excuse to treat the employees like criminals.

And if the stupid American business managers really want to prevent pilfering by employees, then they should pay them better. That would lead the workers to better appreciate their jobs and their workplaces.

This is exciting. And she keeps pushing desert when Ox already said he’s not interested (clueless).

I bet his uncle the lawyer gets introduced to the arc any day now… woo hoo!

I cannot wait for TJ to return and make this story arc really fun! I think TJ and Ox are going to make a great team in getting Eiffel’s goat.

That the tapes aren’t regularly erased. (tape is expensive and were not talking ft Knox here)

Most often security cams are reserved for high crime areas that need them and are considered too expensive/a hassle for low crime suburbs.

The store most likely has agents shop there on a regular basis already. They are called secret shoppers and employees will get bonuses based on the reports. Fun work really.

Depends on the state and normally the rule is about recording phone calls.

Only read a few of the comments, so this may be a repeat….Anne tried to overcharge a customer. Doesn’t matter that Ox was subject to the overcharge. This was not a one off, one shot deal. This is a regular occurance. .No wonder Weenie World is making a profit.

A couple of weeks & Ann will be sacked & T.J. will take over the place.

I’m very impressed, Knox did that correct calculation in seconds! I didn’t know that you have 7%. Here in Austria we have 20% TAX.
