I thought that part of the background for this was that the Perfesser had a degree in dirigible engineering from Rutgers. Never underestimate the capabilities of a dirigible engineer.
First time I’ve ever seen the ol’ prof flying, too… but I must confess I’m not sure that I get the punchline either. By mistaking his bathroom scales for his laptop, did he crush it?… and now replacing/repairing it is gonna cost him $1,250?

It looks like Cosmo is gliding while each panel gives the appearance that Loon is ‘flapping’ his wings. Also, it ‘cleared off’ quite quickly.

I thought Loon usually flew upside down.

Hmmm…I don’t get it and I don’t think I ever saw the professor in flight.

Loon, for softer landing, try timpani.

What was the laptop on the bathroom floor for? (Not that I’ve ever done that… ahem)…

It’s a comic strip: the tool is “levity”, not levitation! As to “instruments”, they’re just fiddling around with the joke potential.
