Why did you walk to school when all you had to do was fly your broom?

Broomie is charmingly honest about it! Nerwin–brat that he can be–is lucky to have such a nice green auntie!

I remember walking up the hill, and up the hill, and up the hill, and up the hill to school during an ice storm when I was in school.

I also went home for lunch. Lovely fresh air. As soon as I got home, it was time to eat, then I had to leave right away to get back to school on time. Wonderful exercise!

the old story about walking up hill both ways wasn’t the whole truth, what they never told anyone about was sliding down the other side of the hill and smashing into a tree at the bottom

We always had a cafeteria wherever I went to school. And most of the time, we had no hills. What trials and tribulations I missed out on.

Oh well, the bullies made up for that.

Guess I was the lucky one. I rode a big yellow bus.

In the snow, uphill, both ways, backwards, carrying my brothers, walking on my hands, while doing my homework with my feet, and holding my breath. Boy, life was tough!
