Boy, that brings back memories. Want to get away, Alice? You don’t need snow pants where I live.

Ah, how well I remember those horrible snow pants! And snowmobile suits…and rubber snow boots that slipped off in the drifts…

This brings back memories of grammer school & the girls wearing “snow pants” to school.
It also reminds me of the HUGE amounts of snow – in Rochester, N.Y. – which REQUIRED the wearing of the snow pants.
Ah … memories. Thanks, Alice.

These are memories I’d rather not think about! I feel your pain Alice!

If it’s colder than 0°, the dog has to wear his coat. His attitude is just like Alice’s.

I remember snow pants too ! I grew up in Chicago. Then trying to crush you skirt in the pants because we had to wear skirts in school no pants allowed … what a mess.

All I can say is your Mom better win some prize with that picture – gee, taking advantage of poor Alice!

Never looked at snow pants, have you JAD? Unless you have an industrial sewing machine, alterations ain’t gonna happen.

Hey “Joe”! Thanks for pointing this out! Abusive, lazy families in the comics reach from the Katzenjammer Kids to the Simpsons and beyond. I’m proud to carry on this fine tradition, and glad to hear you’re enjoying it!

Richie C, you have just surpassed the other Richard Thompson as my favorite Richard Thompson.
Bless you, sir.

I love the patented Richard Thompson panel 7 joke attack with the panel 8 double button! I love it!
Nobody puts more funny panels in a Sunday strip.

LOL, funny how this comic strip expresses my potential motherhood. I laughed out loud on this one. Love it!

This sooooo makes me think of being a little kid… and I DO remember those LaCrosse children’s rubber boots- where the liner would come out with my foot when I stepped into a deep snowdrift… and the mittens that always proclaimed so very falsely to be waterproof (but are apparently not snow-proof, as my hands ALWAYS froze and were soggy once my sisters and I began to dig an igloo into a large snow pile.
Even eldest children like me somehow manage to get stuck with hand-me-down snowpants!
Destiny23 almost 15 years ago
That’s because snowpants are like fruitcake – no-one’s made new ones in 30 years, they just keep passing around the old ones from family to family…
