$11,000 consulting fee. How do I get in on this?

Probably more like $132,000 - a thousand dollars times 12 months times 11 years, minimum. That’s when they’ll start breaking even, and in 6 months after that will start to appreciate the savings. By then she’ll be retired, and there will be nobody around to remember who shaved the budget so closely.

On the other hand, Accounting might take one look at that invoice and hunt her down with staplers in their hands.

Either amount is too much for one week of consulting. Who read the original estimate and said “Duh, OK, you’re hired”?

In panel 2 she said they’d save $1,000/YEAR. The bill was roughly $11,500. From a former bloodsucking consultant that is now a nitpicky beancounter.

I use to see those so called efficiency experts go thru our office. The price was thousands of jobs cut including my own

But it’s a weekly fee, not monthly. So that’d be $598,000 (1,000 x 52 x11.5)

So why is Roger getting the bill? She was hired by a senior idiot!

Her fee for the week equals 11 1/2 years of savings, which would be 11,500. There is no complicated math here people. Stop over-thinking it.
