Besides, Michael came back after he tried baseball and discovered that being able to jump fifteen feet doesn’t help much in that sport. And he did pretty durn well for himself!

I can’t help but remember the school girl who when shown a film of some of Jordens greatests shots, frowned and said he could never play on her team…. why they asked amazed?.. because he always travels… Something I said his entire carrer….. Yeah I know they let the big boys walk all over cause it allows more scoring which they say we want, rather then good basketball.

Redkaycei that irritates me as well, how many steps does one have to take now to be called for traveling.

cleokaya, if you’re driving to the basket, they seem to allow you an extra step. If you’re not, they are still very serious about calling you. People like slam dunks, and so I guess the refs are told not to penalize the drive..

I lost what little interest I had in the NBA when one of the commentators said something along the lines of “_____ will have to be a bigger star before he gets that call.” Without showing any indication of being appalled, the commentators essentially said that it’s SOP in the NBA for the game to be called differently for the superstars than for the “average” players. Between that and ignoring things like traveling, etc., the game’s only a small step above pro wrestling.
