    @CAROLINAGIRLS

    As a kid growing up during WWII, airplanes were my fantasy.

    In ‘55 I wanted to join the Air Force, but they were only accepting 4 year enlistments. I wanted to serve but 2 years, so joined the Army instead. After basic and 2 months Quartermaster training, I served 3 months at Camp Hanford, WA then the rest of my enlistment in the 17th Signal Bn in Karlsruhe, Germany. That was the nicest vacation I ever had.

    Take comfort, Earl. It takes real genius to fail that badly.
