As one of the few guys who actually understands women, I can explain this. Those women who use this tactic tend to have low self-esteem, and do it out of fear of being in a one-sided relationship. The idea is that if he really likes her, he will ignore her attempts to push him away, and she’ll be confident that the attraction is mutual. If the attraction isn’t mutual, he won’t contact her again.
I would have answered Macio’s wrong post earlier, but I was on the Playboy website. The real answer is that I always wanted to figure out the mysteries of the Universe. After figuring that out, I tried to do something really difficult, so I tried to understand women. That only took slightly longer.
