Beware the dog in mailbox costume?

Not funny. I’m a retired postman and I swear I had dogs that hid in the bushes until I bent over to make a delivery

sure it’s funny, besides you don’t have to deal with that anymore……and with the way they keep tabs on EVERY little thing you do these days (scan this, scan that)—the good old days of short routes and no electronic , big brother supervision will be the memories that will make you smile….

(my favorite dogs were the ones that hid behind the bushes until you made your delivery and closed the gate and out of the fenced yard and THEN came charging , barking and raising hell while behind the fence)

I had a golden retriever who would sit next to the mailbox and wait for the mailman. All of the delivers knew her and would wrap a rubber band around the mail and hand it to her. She would be so excited that if they were too slow she would go practically into the cab. She had her picture hanging in the post office where the delivery people would pick up their routes mail. They all sort of adoped her and she would get goodies from them throughout the year. Not the typical dog and mailman story. I sure miss her.

After all those treats did they have to use a wide angle lens to take her picture?

No wide angle lens. She never varied her weight much her whole life. Maybe a pound or 2 from her normal 60.

Must be a boxer.
