I still have my aloha shirt (blue with white flowers and turtles) I got in 2001 at Oahu. If I recall, my older brother sent his to Good Will; hardly remember a time he wore it since the trip.
In my life, if my dad bought me clothes, this is the same result. If my mom bought me clothes, though - happy day. Even when I was a teenager, I thought my mom had great taste.
I get that now. The daughter turned 3 a couple weeks ago. It’s going to be a long fight. Personally, I know I’m not qualified to choose clothes for others, but yet it’s in my job description. This will be interesting…
and yet, teenagers are notorious for not being able to choose clothes either. Without making them too tight, way too loose, too short… what amazes me is that they’re dressed at all

When SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED buys me clothes, I have to wear them. feel like a tie on Monday after Father’s day.

The have to be dressed differently from you, their parents,but like all of their friends…..Individuation through conformity! LOL
