It does not appear to be the same artist drawing this comic. The style changed a few days ago, and it doesn’t seem as funny. What is going on here?

Okay, now I know what’s going on, seeing as I have caught up with the previous day’s posts. As a lot of other true fans are saying - this rubbish is not Adam@Home, so I am not hanging around to be tortured with more rot. Hasta la Vista, baby!

Doc, I’m skeptical. If they were such big fans they would have seen it by now.

And for a large percentage of them, it’s their first action on the site. I bet it’s one person re-registering and feigning outrage.

And where were these true fans weeks ago when the strip was getting ripped by folks here and favorited two or three times a day.

    True fan my patootie.

This is the first I’ve seen a reason to comment, which is part of the problem, I suppose. I’m not digging this new artist, and the comic has really lost it’s zing for me. I hope Brian comes back, but I’ll stick with it for a while to see how the new guy does.

Wow! I like how Brian changed art styles.

It’s different, but it brings a certain zing and I am digging it!

Way to go! I’m putting this one on my list now!

RhodeKille, good for you giving the new look a chance. Right now it is a head of the last several theme weeks, which ranged from groaners to mildly funny.

If I had my druthers, I’d take the theme weeks over this. Adam has always been about a stay-at-home dad saddled with the kids. Other than the first panel on Monday, they have been missing. Also, part of the humour of Adam, was the facial expressions, which are completely missing from this bloated rendering of his head.

I’m really impressed with Bassett’s switch to a new style and his dedication to going back to issues that we can all relate to.

My husband hasn’t worked in 8 months, and the comics are a great source of daily release for us.

My guess is the new artist is still struggling with the look of the characters, trying to mimic Brian’s style; once he gets the hang of it, we’ll get to see his mark on the strip..

As for the content, well, every artist has his up-and-downs, some days they hit, some days they miss..

    Let’s see how it goes..

I’m also going to take a pass on this. It’s just not as fun as it used to be.

I’ve worked from home for about 18 years now. The kids have grown and now one in college and one in HS. I relate to the coffee/latte, children, exercise and computer issues and the needed naps. The last couple of years have been quite repetitive and I welcome a change. Not thrilled about the artwork just yet but I could get used to it. I just want to see some different story lines.

I’m retired and my whole coffee club has been talking about it all week.

To a person, all 17 of us love the new look.

And we’ve all appreciated the writing so far … it’s more like Bassett from when he first started. I can tell he’s re-energized in that department.

Well, I see a lot of new names here, trolls maybe? Anyway, Brian DOES NOT DO THE STRIP ANYMORE!! GOT IT? He turned it over to Mr. Harrell who did The Big Top. GIVE THE MAN A CHNACE! I think it will be fine! Adam looks younger and thinner from before, but each artist has his style!

If I was truely a troll Drystyha, I might be inclined to tell you to go pound rock salt after that post.

Just voicing my opinion about the strip. I noticed the change and found out by googling what had happened and came in here to see what other people thought. I was a fan of Adam and this style doesn’t work for me. Plus the beginning strips this week might as well been an ad for Nintendo Wii. If he wants to put more time in Red and Rover, that’s fine by me, I like that one more anyway.
