Adam@Home by Rob Harrell for February 27, 2009
Transcript:
Adam: You're right. We're going to have to tighten the purse strings. Laura: Maybe you could just make coffee here instead of going out for it. Adam: Don't joke around like that, honey. Laura: I'm serious. Adam: Pinch me. I think I'm having that awful dream again. Laura: Oh. I'll start with a pinch.

What happened to Brian Basset?
Net1360 over 15 years ago
As mentioned, Brian Basset has turned this strip over to Harrell, former cartoonist of the strip, “Big Top”. Basset wants to spend more time on his other comic strip “Red & Rover”, a strip set in the 1960’s about a boy who can read his dog’s mind. Basset has been doing “Adam@Home” since 1984 (then known as “Adam”). I’m not sure what year he started with “Red & Rover”.

I won’t eat coffee anywhere but from home.

Yeah, the art is a little different but that’s okay. The best part is that there is a STORY LINE! I hope this means no more bad theme weeks.

For Adam, he could be saving several hundred dollars a month.

Brian hasn’t “turned the strip over”, just the art. So those who find the writing so much different since Monday are projecting, I think.

Adam@Home has lost a lot, both graphically and in the story line. I remember that the same thing happened to “Rick-O-Shay” many years ago.

I’m a minister and this new “Adam” by Harrell and Bassett is going into my sermon this week.
I’m going to talk about change and how that can make some of us afraid and defensive and cause us to irrationally and illogically lash out at others.
But those who behave like that do so because they are afraid to admit the shortcomings in their own lives , if only they’d know that through Jesus Christ they can find peace.
