Another famous comedy legend with a bad back was Dr. Smith of “Lost in Space” fame, whose back was ALWAYS “a disaster area” when there was any work to be done.
Boulder, in the state of Colorado. At 93, going on 94 Dec. 28th. I think he’s allowed some defects. Edison, the inventor, was known to nap at all hours of the day and conversely to be at work at 3 in the morning as easily as at 1 in the afternoon. He owned the place which gave him latitude and the ability to always be at work. Sometimes it’s good and exhilarating to do something outside your usual routine.
Thank you for the interesting facts! I never knew that. I suppose we all do our regular routines at times we feel suits us.
Thank you all for your good wishes and congratulations. Its good to be a grandmother! When I gave birth, I didnt think about my grandparents, and other antecedants (sp?)…but when my grandson was born, I did. It really makes you see the pattern of life unlike anything you have experienced before then. My own grandfather was the only Rabbi in most of the panhandle of Texas and hugh swath’s of Oklahoma. His parents immigrated from England. On my mothers side, she was the great neice of Quanah Parker, the last cheif of the Comanches, so they were (my parents) sort of an odd couple. Due to the matriarchal society that is Judaism, I wasnt Jewish, and to my mothers tribe, not Comanche either, I grew up wondering what I actually was. Now that I am 59, I know what I am, and I know what my son is, and what I hope for my grandson and you know what? Its all good! God Bless and Keep You All!!
Re your anti-depressants….do you think they work? I’ve been taking various types for about the same length of time and am never sure if I feel any different – just completely flat.
Oh Linda what an interesting linage you have! Jewish and Comanche! No wonder you are so tough! :-) Hubby is 1/2 Cherokee, and my grandparents landed on Ellis Island from Italy. Guess we both have interesting linage! I actually found their names some time back on a website that listed the immigrants that came in. My one cousin has compiled a booklet for all of us of our linage, clear down to the children of all of us First Cousins. And there are a LOT of first cousins! LOL! We are Italian Catholics after all! But sadly, I’m an only child. No brothers or sisters.
Number Six good to see you! And Number 3 that’s a cute happy avatar you have there! I should change mine for Halloween, but I like this little guy. I probably will change it though, I have so many cute ones saved.

What, no second opinion from another doctor? Then again, Andy would say all doctors should be struck off.

That’s why he’s “practicing” medicine, Andy. He’s going to get it right, some day.

I thought Andy only pulled the old Bad Back Attack when there was work to be done.

Those quacks have been giving Andy the same advice for years…
They just keep blaming the patient for the problem…
To be fair, though, Andy doesn’t make it easy…

Get over it, Andy.
What are you going to do… Sue him?
It was a SUGGESTION… Not an order.
