Bixby: Okay, I got your new sidekick right here. Captain Victory, meet Scrappy Lad! Scrappy Lad: Gee-jiminy-jinkers! Captain Victory: What are his powers? Bixby: He doesn't have any powers. He's just a kid in tights who says cute things. Scrappy: Old people need saving! Victory: No powers? Bixby, he'll just get clobbered! Bixby: No kidding, but he's good at it. Kid's a real trooper. Scrappy: I'm a big boy! Victory: Can you take a bullet, son? Scrappy: What's a bullet? Bixby: Sign these organ donor forms for him, will ya?

…uh, okay, so my theory about the Oct. 21 Sunday page seems to be wrong. Using the name Captain Victory here today hasn’t been ruled out.

Not it’s sign for him. Scrappy ain’t got a choice at this point. And later on in the strip it won’t matter if he has a choice or not since Cap could care less about him anyway.

Just discovered today that the strip is ending its run as a daily feature and will be kept on GoComics as reruns, plus a new weekly strip. That’s a shame. In other words, it’s going the Fox Trot route. I wonder when the new weekly strip will start.
