Superman should look like George Reeves, not Henry Cavill.

Think about it – Supes comes from a high gravity world, so he has to have a super strong skeletal muscular system. But he lives on this low-gravity Earth – almost like an earth astronaut in an orbital micro-g environment for years. He has to become a flabby, weak version of a Kryptonian. Maybe Michael Moore should play him.

Muscle growth is inhibited by the hormone myostatin. Blocking the gene that produces myostatin results in stronger, more muscular animals and people. Superman may have the Kryptonian equivalent blocked.
