You’ve made manager, and Joey’s gone, why not be happy?

before i retired , i really loved my job i just didn’t like the people i worked for

what’s wrong with you is that you forgot that as an assistant manager you can’t date Beatriz.

Recession–those employed are grateful for it!

I loved my job in the library. Unfortunately, I’m stuck in health care until I can get my degree. Still, I’m thankful for what I have, even if it’s giving me gray hairs.

LibrarianInTraining–Caregiving is pretty time consuming, but, if you possibly can, consider trying to volunteer at a library. It’ll help you keep your hand in and stay up-to-date. Part of my problem is that my degree is 39 years old, and I haven’t worked in a library for 17 years. For the past couple of years, I have shelved books for the nearby elementary school once a week. Great fun, and I find fabulous reading material. Good luck!

Joey: enjoy it while it lasts, as the factors that effect your enjoyment of any given job ebb and flow….what’s that old saw?… Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
