Hey! You can still get a thousand bucks or so for a ’91 Metro… though not from a rip-off payday advance place..When I had to sell my beloved ’76 Volare wagon in 2002, still running but not quite legally drivable, I called around and took the best offer I could get…$16.Honestly.I still have a copy of the check.

So, roughly equivalent to a Zero Bar, or a 100 Grand Bar.

Actually, GEO Metros are quite popular here. I takes about $1500 to get it in good contition, then you get about 47 mpg. Folks my size wear them.

Man walks up to the counter in an auto parts store and asks if he could get a windshield wiper for a ’91 Yugo. Clerk looks at him and says, “Sure, that sounds like a fair trade.”

Back in the 90s the Geo Prism was actually a Toyota Corolla in disguise. They last forever but are no fun.

A Yugo would also have neigh-sayers. As in you’d be better off with a horse.
