So with only one or two items I have to go through the regular checkout as I prefer to deal with cash. It depends on the store preference. The Wal-Mart had self checkout, but when people with more than 20 items(and I mean a very full shopping cart) starting using them, they pulled them out.
They did a study in Britain and found out that, only taking into account the time you spend actually checking out, it was faster to go with the full-serve check-out. I’ve found it to be true an awful lot of the time, even including wait time.
