So close your eyes while the constable locks Andy up, Sarge.

@Gweedo, yesterday..When I was a child I wanted grey hair and now that I have, I wouldn’t change it. I certainly won’t be wearing a “rug” when it falls out.

“Custody Suite” sounds so much better than what we Colonials call it: holding cell or drunk tank.

Andy must be feeling his age if it takes only on Police Constable to bring him in.

I always laugh when I see Andy being run in by, or having a run in with, P.C. Braithwaite. I have a friend now retired from the Met ( London Metropolitan Police ) named Braithwaite. But he was D.C.I. Braithwaite ( Detective Chief Inspector ). Still, I picture him in his younger years having to deal with the likes of Andy.

…i hope it’s as simple as that – wasn’t there some rioting (or a concern of it) near his workplace sometime around august? (back when that idiotic, deliberately provocative movie came out…)

I would say painting the porch railings is more like “gotta do”; the other stuff is fun. I would likely post myself in the ’tar more often if I felt I was better looking. Yours are a treat to behold. If the avatar blocks were bigger, there are other shots I would be glad to put up but alas, the smallish proportion kills detail. Today is another fab day and will go finish the painting off. I will try to get back on before the empire goes down for the night. Cheers ! ….. er… I mean Beers !

Thank you. That’s nice of you to say so. I always like your Avatars too. I take it the porch railings are now painted? If so, that’s cool as it’ll be out the way now.

Glad the weather stayed sunny for you.

Hope your day is going well.

P.S. If you don’t mind me saying so… You ARE good looking.

@BeviekI proofread and correct misspellings and typos before I post. Sometimes a mistake gets through, and I just live with it. Personally I don’t see much need for an edit feature, but I won’t object to having one if it helps others.

In multi-panel comics, the punch line is frequently delivered to the fourth wall in the last panel.

    Hullo all —

Being busy with too many other strips here, I rarely read the comments and even more seldom post here…came because I wanted to see what Six mentioned elsewhere that he had posted here about editing.

Since you’re all talking about Sreejay’s disappearance, I Googled him….True, he hasn’t posted for 23 days….BUT the “Favorite” strip posted on his profile page was selected just yesterday!I don’t think anyone can change another person’s favorites, so chances are he was at least eading his strips yesterday!

The problems with copying and re-posting prior comments include not only putting them later in the forum (sometimes long after replies to them) but also losing all the formatting, and having to re-insert all the <br> page breaks, *bold* and _italics._

I’ve posted elsewhere that, in case you’ve never tried it, it’s very helpful to right click and “select all” or type “Control A”, and then “copy” or “Control C” BEFORE each post, so that if you see a mistake right away, you can immediately delete and paste your comment for editing, with all the formatting still intact.

Hope that helps somebody a little.Of course, the opportunity is gone as soon as you hit “copy” on something else.

As for our supposed Professeur d’Anglais, if you Google “andrea@home site:gocomics.com” you will see that you reach the profile of “prof danglais.”

I think I just made up for a month or two of not posting! LOL

I wonder if they do call this area in police stations The custody suite now, so as not to offend the sensibilities of Andy & co. It sounds a bit like a musical work The Custody Suite, an operetta for drunks.. vocals by Shane MacGowan, additional vocals, harmonica, and violent sound effects, Mr Andrew Capp.

Yes. That’s what I do. Works when you discover the mistakes right after setting the post otherwise your repost lands in a different spot which tends to ‘put you out of phase’ with the conversation. Guess the order doesn’t matter when it’s a generic post.

Generic Post here….I cut and paste, but wish I didnt have to….
